Educational objectives

Core objectives The Department of Physics aims to cultivate professionals who can plan and execute research projects in advanced scientific fields, such as computational IT physics, nano-physics, and high-theory physics, based on the ability to scientifically describe natural phenomena, and to draw conclusions.
Detailed objectives 1. Activate graduate programs
2. Strengthen and develop appropriate programs
3. Support the self-development of graduate students
Research areas Computational IT physics, nano-physics, high-theory physics
Integration and differentiation plan with the undergraduate program In the undergraduate program, students acquire broad foundational knowledge to understand the fundamental principles of various natural phenomena. This knowledge is then specialized and professionalized through in-depth research projects in each field.

Majors (track)

Condensed Matter Physics Major
  • This major focuses on researching and developing advanced technologies for the 4th industrial revolution, studying basic concepts and application technologies, experimenting with various smart materials and extreme quantum nano-materials, and cultivating future talent that can adapt to the changes of the post-COVID era.
e-Physics Major
  • Computational physics is a creative field that generates new knowledge by addressing problems inaccessible through experiments or theory. It provides essential knowledge and methodologies for advanced technologies and application fields. Through project-based research and education that includes big data, the department aims to foster creative future talent who can lead the advancement of basic and applied science and technology.
