Core objectives The Department of Artificial Intelligence aims to strengthen expertise in advanced AI theories and technologies, foster capabilities in original research and creative problem-solving, and cultivate responsible researchers who can address complex societal challenges.
Detailed objectives
  • Strengthening Expertise: Provide systematic training in advanced AI theories and cutting-edge technologies, while developing practical skills through applications, to nurture professionals with both academic depth and industrial relevance.
  • Enhancing Original Research and Creative Problem-Solving: Understand the latest research trends in AI, conduct independent and in-depth studies, and develop the capacity to propose creative and innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Fostering Public Value and Ethical Responsibility: Recognize the societal impact of AI technologies and foster individuals committed to public value and ethical responsibility in addressing societal challenges.
Research areas Research areas include artificial intelligence, computer vision, machine learning, medical big data, natural language processing, computational theory, real-time systems, robotics, statistical machine learning, legal AI, sports data analysis, recommender systems, graph learning, AI reliability, speech recognition, multimodal AI, and related fields

Majors (track)

  • Artificial intelligence plays a pivotal role in advanced technology industries and changing future societies. The goal is to cultivate ethical talent with expertise in systematically and comprehensively understanding and utilizing diverse and complex AI core technologies. The department aims to cultivate creative and practical capabilities in AI to develop specialized personnel and foster the AI industry.
