Established in 1918, the University of Seoul is widely regarded as one of the top public universities in Korea. The university has been a think tank for the Seoul Metropolitan Government, contributing to the development of Korean society through education, training of students, and academic research. With 8 colleges and 9 graduate schools, the University of Seoul offers a variety of courses in a thriving academic atmosphere.

The Seoul International Summer School Ⅰ (SISS Ⅰ) program at the University of Seoul (UOS) has been providing international students with a unique opportunity to learn about Korean culture and tradition since its establishment in 2000. SISS Ⅰ has been reorganized in 2024, offering customized programs to participants from UOS partner universities and other prestigious universities worldwide.

- Upon successful completion of the program, official transcripts will be issued and distributed by late August. The University of Seoul utilizes a credit system that is equivalent to that of the United States.

Discover Korea's rich traditions with our engaging cultural experience program! You can choose to learn Taekwondo, where you'll practice basic techniques of this dynamic martial art, or try your hand at mother-of-pearl crafting to create a beautiful mirror. This program offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Korean culture through hands-on activities.
Our package includes 1day field trips to ensure you make the most of your stay. Over the weekend, you will also explore Seoul with Korean friends, Peer Advocates, with your team’s own theme.

Welcome to SISS! We offer a buddy program called "Peer Advocate" for international students. Our Peer Advocates, who are Korean students, help international students adjust to life in Korea.
