Overview
Department of Public Administration
The Department of Public Administration provides a rewarding environment for research and learning, along with a continuous interest in current practices of public administration. Our graduates play a leading role in various fields of public and private sectors, including national and local government agencies, public enterprises, and research institutions as well as the financial industry and mass media. This department has gained national recognition for its outstanding tradition in education and research, achieving remarkable success in attracting top-level students from across the country, ranking 7th among over 80 public administration departments in Korea.
Department of International Relations
The Department of International Relations was founded in 1995 with the aim of training students to build professional careers in foreign affairs and international relations.
To achieve this, the department offers selected courses and programs that address the increasing interdependence among various elements of the global community, including sovereign states, societies, individuals, foreign governments, NGOs, and INGOs.
The curriculum also emphasizes three major academic fields: area studies, international relations, and international exchange—combining both theory and practice.
Since 1999, the department has offered international field practice programs that provide students with opportunities to experience the traditions and cultures of foreign countries such as China, Japan, and Mongolia.
The department will continue to make every effort to provide an academic and interdisciplinary approach to the pursuit of knowledge and the resolution of global issues.
School of Economics
The School of Economics studies how society uses limited resources to produce, trade, and consume goods and services.
Our program examines how markets and organizations enable individuals and societies to achieve their goals.
Through a strong foundation in both the theoretical and applied aspects of economics, students can use knowledge to understand economic behavior and phenomena.
Economics has become the foundation for various career opportunities.
Department of Social Welfare
The Department of Social Welfare focuses on social issues and policies aimed at improving the quality of human life in the context of industrialization and urbanization.
This course and program provide students with practical knowledge and skills that meet the needs of the public welfare sector, such as local government welfare and labor departments, welfare agencies, and social welfare facilities.
Department of Science in Taxation
The Department of Science in Taxation offers courses in tax law, tax accounting, tax economics, and tax administration.
The faculty and facilities have been upgraded and expanded to provide enhanced academic support for students.
This department only accepts the best students in Korea, and the admission rate is 90%.
After graduation, students go on to build their careers in the private sector and professional firms as well as government agencies.
